Jingo lives with us in Northern Cali. Jingo is a 4 and 1/2 month old Korean Jindo mix puppy. He loves to play fetch, lie down at your feet, go on walks, and play with other dogs at the dog park. He has the typical Jindo
temperament; shy at first, but warms up quickly and licks you to death. He loves just loves his foster sis, belle. Those two are inseparable.
More about The Jingo:
Jingo has really blossomed in his foster home. I have been slowly desensitizing him to fearful situations, and he has learned to trust people
and dogs to not hurt him. As a puppy, Jingo was extremely undersocialized with both humans and dogs, but he is now able to play with and interact positively with other dogs, adults, and children.
Likes:
balls, especially tennis balls
eating, eating, and eating
snuggling next to us while we watch tv
going out for walks/jogs
sleeping
playing dead in the backyard
licking!
any doggie treat ever made
Dislikes:
going to the vet and getting groomed
getting harrassed by other doggies
being startled by loud noises
vegetables
being left alone!
watching other dogs play
wearing sweaters and hats
long car rides
Adoption Info:
Jingo responds extremely well to training, and is
very eager to please his owner. He is extremely
playful and cute, which, ironically, has done him
a great disservice in his young life. He was
bounced from owner to owner (who thought he was
too cute to pass up), and has totaled 5
placements, including his current foster home, in
only 4 months. He needs a home that has the time,
patience, and loving environment that he has
sorely lacked. Not unlike other Jindos, he can be
stubborn and independent, but he reacts well to
positive reinforcement and correction training.
Jingo is mostly Jindo with a little goldie in
him, so it's not surprising that he likes to
chase after balls.
It will take him a while to get housetrained in
any new living situation, but learns quickly once
he knows where he's supposed to do his business.
Jingo still has a lot to learn, such as accepting
a muzzle, accepting grooming, and not reacting
aggressively in fearful situations. But I have
every bit of confidence that he will make a great
addition to an active, loving family. His new
owners need to have experience in obedience
training, particularly "difficult" breeds, such
as Jindos, Akitas, Shibas, Chows, etc. It is
unknown how he reacts to cats. He responds well
to adults, children, and other dogs.
